We recognise that some students may require additional support due to behavioural, emotional, communication, medical or academic reasons.
Whenever this need is identified, we aim to provide the best possible support to your child through a partnership between home and school.
All teaching staff are responsible for supporting SEND students to access the curriculum. Teachers are trained to support SEND needs and have continuous training to develop SEND skills and understanding through new research and innovations.
Our Special Education Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCo) is able to assess students for possible learning needs. The SENDCo coordinates the provision for students with Education and Health Care Plan and those diagnosed with specific learning needs. The SENDCo writes support plans with each SEND child and ensures that all teachers have access to them for their planning. The SENDCo coordinates the external provisioning for the school which includes the liaison between eternal professionals such as paediatrics, medical teams from local and national hospitals, learning services within the borough and specialist services.
Please contact the school SENDCo if you have any questions about special educational needs or disabilities:
