Testimonials
Please see below for testimonials from our current graduates on our Graduate Teaching Programme
I joined QES in June, 2022, as a Cover Supervisor. Since joining, I have been encouraged, challenged and motivated to continuously improve my teaching. My classroom skills have developed from covering lessons to being assigned my own classes. My confidence as a class teacher has greatly improved with each lesson.
From observing more experienced teachers, to undertaking CPD, there is always something to learn. The level of support from my colleagues and the teacher training team has also been amazing. I have a much better vision of how to plan my lessons and I can tell my students are more engaged.I am definitely looking forward to my training in September!
Mrs N Godson - Cover Supervisor
As a recent graduate student, I started here at QES as an unqualified teacher of English. I was immediately drawn by the diverse and dynamic culture of the school. Colleagues were supportive in ensuring that I understood the conventions of an effective teacher and how I could utilise this in the real classroom setting. I was not only able to draw on their experiences, but also prepare for life as trainee teacher shortly after.
I received high quality training through the program the school offered me (to gain status as a qualified teacher). This included attending training sessions, mentor meetings, observing other teachers and completing modules. I am now a fully qualified teacher of English and continue to enhance my expertise and professionalism in my subject area. I have a fantastic mentor who supports me in my progression in the completion of my ECT years here at QES.
I look forward to continuing my journey here at QES to become even better at what I do.
