Cross Country Success

The PE Department took 47 cross country runners from across Year 7 to Year 11 to the Luton School Games Cross Country Competition on Thursday 13th January 2022. Now you would probably associate cross country with the cold, wind, rain and mud, but this was not the case for our lucky students. The conditions on the day were sunny with a temperature of around 9ºC…some would say perfect running conditions! What’s more, our students’ determination to compete and the camaraderie amongst the whole team was very impressive indeed. They achieved some outstanding results and did QES proud!

Congratulations to the below 18 students who placed in the top 20!

  • Joseph Cashin - 1st place
  • Sofia Mahmutaj - 2nd place
  • Cynthia Adeniran and Lily Evans - 3rd place
  • Lyla Howard - 5th place
  • Ava Howard and Matthew Winchester - 6th place
  • Divine Onyemachi - 7th place
  • Ghaalib Yusef - 10th place
